The Reference One PREMIUM loudspeaker is the latest incarnation of the Reference One. It builds on the excellent acoustic foundation that already equipped its predecessor with skills that are rare even in a top price range. The premium components used here, such as Duelund capacitors, Mundorf resistors, or High-End WBT connectors, and the refined precision crossover, raise the sound reproduction to the top. The available premium Italian wood veneer selection makes the loudspeakers into a decoration of any living room.
As a result of the unique acoustic design, standing waves cannot form inside the box. Therefore the bass range is also completely free of any discoloration. Real bass instruments and amazingly transparent sound and spatial effect presented in the entire sound spectrum. The direct-coupled reflex design extend the sub-bass range and improves its efficiency, reduces distortion, and maintains a balanced sound even at low volumes. The inner bracing system cancel the wall resonances and further increases the resolution and transparency to such a high level that you can forget that you are listening to a loudspeaker.
In our frequency converters, we use high-end elements that are not common in this price segment. In order to minimize signal paths and losses, the connections of the components are made with “own leads” air assembly with precision handcrafting. We use well-proven, ultra-pure copper cable for internal cabling. Our converters have a phase-coherent design and are as simple as possible, thus ensuring the best possible sound reproduction. Finally we placed the crossovers into an acoustically separated chamber, to also eliminating the “microphonic” effect. The excellent speaker drivers used give the opportunity to set the crossover frequency, taking into account the human hearing curve, at a frequency where the ear no longer detects the presence of the crossover-unit. Thus it can no longer influence the sound quality and the music can flow with such realism, spatial representation and full emotional content which is rare even in a much higher price range!
The synergy of the solutions used in Reference One PREMIUM brings the recordings to life, through the immersively natural and emotionally rich sound reproduction, which is completed in holographic soundstage. This is the Reference Sound Reproduction in our definition.
